Through painting and installations Nicolas Delprat proposes a reflection on the value of light in painting, leveraging art history, from the invention of photography, to Dan Flavin’s neon lights, and James Turrell’s environments. Nicolas Delprat graduated from l’Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux arts of Lyon (1997). In 1998, he completes a graduate international diploma in Nantes, France. In 2017/2018, he is an artist member of Casa Velazquez in Madrid. His work is part of numerous private and public collections like the Fond Régional d’art contemporain d’Auvergne, the CNAP…
